I have this new age hippie type gadget game called "Journey to the Wild Divine" that I bought awhile ago. It fits on three of your fingers and measures heart and respiration rate. You wander around a pretty garden doing various tasks and activities by controlling your breathing and heart rate. It's pretty relaxing and cool. I just couldn't really get past the ultra new age hippie aspect of it. I'm selling it for $50. It works on both PC and MAC. sistermaryeris and I are in need of someone to help us run our lives and our household!We are losing our beloved hallucinas at the beginning of the school year, and we're looking for someone to replace her. This is not a glamour position, involving mostly dishwashing, floor-cleaning, and driving grubby little kids around from place to place. We strive to be kind and ethical employers, and are pretty flexible people. There may be an extra babysitting shift in there once in a while, too.The job would likely involve two afternoons per week during the school year, picking up a kid or two from school and coming home to tidy up our Gateway-area house. It's not for someone who needs a part-time job, more for someone who is looking for 4-5 hours of work per week to fill in a gap somewhere. Pay is reasonable, I think (15-ish an hour), but you'd have to ask hallucinas. :)Ideally, our full-page ad in this Sunday's NY Times will convince her to stay, as we love her dearly, but I have a feeling that her mind is made up. Hopefully aggressive drivers can find some inner peace and resolve within themselves. Do drivers really think that reckless and aggressive driving will cure all their problems? I know that personally I tend to get annoyed by the lack of bicyclists during the nice weather. Lack of bike racks and slow riders in the bike can definitely be a nuisance but so it goes. So what do all damnportlanders think? Why does the animosity between cyclists and drivers seem to increase during the summer? Current Mood:

I have heard such conflicting stories from people about what companies are good and who sucks. I only pay 33.00 for my land line ( Qwest without long distance)...anyone recommend something similiar or better? Who should I avoid? Kudos and thank you ahead of time! He hasn't put an ad on Craigslist yet, so I wanted to give a heads-up to any interested job seekers. There isn't a ton of turnover, pay is decent (between $9-11 for retail staff) and supplemented nicely by tips. The cafe is open from 7AM-6PM, seven days a week. The crew is super responsible and hard working and my husband seems to be regarded as a pretty awesome boss. Brad is the store Tuesday through Saturday, generally from 8AM-4PM.
